1. Respect people
VoiceStage is intended for adults performing or listening together by invitation. Treat the other person as a collaborator, even when a script contains conflict or intense material.
- No harassment, bullying, stalking, humiliation, or repeated unwanted contact.
- No credible threats, encouragement of violence, intimidation, or celebration of real-world harm.
- Do not pressure another person to disclose private information, continue a performance, or consent to recording.
2. Hate, sexual content, and exploitation
Do not attack, degrade, exclude, or threaten people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, caste, or another protected characteristic.
Do not use VoiceStage for pornography, sexual solicitation, non-consensual sexual content, sexual violence, or any sexual content involving minors. Never groom, exploit, or endanger a minor. Report suspected exploitation promptly to the appropriate authorities and to VoiceStage.
3. Recording and privacy
Recording consent is specific to the VoiceStage performance shown in the app. Do not make an unauthorized recording, screen recording, rebroadcast, or external capture of another person's voice. Do not share a private work or Performance ID beyond its intended participants without permission.
Do not reveal another person's address, contact details, installation identity, credentials, or other private information. Never attempt to identify an anonymous participant outside VoiceStage.
4. Audio conduct and noise
Use the microphone for the performance and follow the scripted cues. Deliberate noise abuse is prohibited, including sustained screaming outside the scene, feedback loops, soundboard spam, disruptive music, clipping, or repeated audio intended to overwhelm the other participant or the service.
If unintended echo or background noise occurs, lower the volume, use headphones, change the audio route, or leave and rejoin after correcting the issue.
5. Blocking and reporting
Block a participant when you do not want to be placed with that anonymous identity again. Submit a report for conduct that may violate these guidelines. Provide an accurate category and any available performance, cue, or timing context; do not file knowingly false or retaliatory reports.
For a safety concern that cannot be submitted in the app, email likahn1993@gmail.com with the Performance ID, approximate time and time zone, and a concise description. Do not attach raw recordings or credentials.
6. How reports are handled
VoiceStage may review the report, related performance context, service records, and relevant content retained for safety review. We may restrict or ban a participant identity, prevent future matching, revoke access, quarantine or delete a work, preserve evidence, or dismiss a report that is not substantiated.
We consider context, severity, repetition, available evidence, and risk to others. We do not promise a particular outcome or disclose confidential details about another participant. Reports are handled as promptly as reasonably possible, with urgent safety risks prioritized.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. VoiceStage support is not an emergency service.
7. Relationship to other policies
- These guidelines form part of the VoiceStage Terms of Use.
- The Privacy Policy explains how report and performance information is processed and retained.
