1. Agreement and eligibility

By using VoiceStage, you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use VoiceStage.

VoiceStage is designed for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. The app does not add a separate in-app adult-confirmation screen. The actual age rating shown for the app is configured and maintained in App Store Connect.

2. How VoiceStage works

VoiceStage provides invitation-only, two-person audio performances. One participant creates a performance and shares its Performance ID directly with the invited participant. A person with that ID may join an available actor role or listen where that option is offered.

VoiceStage does not require an account or public profile. The app creates an anonymous installation identity and service credentials so the same installation can connect to a performance, resume an active session, receive a private work, and apply safety restrictions. You are responsible for controlling access to your device and Performance IDs.

3. Recording consent

Actors must grant microphone access and give recording consent for each performance before they can be marked ready. VoiceStage records an actor's part only after that consent is given. If you do not consent, you must not participate as a recorded actor.

By consenting, you authorize VoiceStage to capture, upload, synchronize, mix, store, and make the resulting performance available to its authorized participants for the purposes described in these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must not record another person through VoiceStage or by an external method without authorization.

4. Private performance works

Uploaded actor tracks and the completed performance are private service content. They are not placed in a public feed or public profile. Access to a completed work is limited to participants who receive a work grant from VoiceStage.

VoiceStage may retain a completed work and the recordings needed to create it for up to 7 days after the performance. Files may be deleted sooner when processing is complete or the service no longer needs them. We may preserve relevant content longer when reasonably necessary to investigate a report, enforce these terms, comply with law, resolve a dispute, or protect safety. See the Privacy Policy for data-handling details.

You keep any rights you hold in your voice and performance. You grant VoiceStage a limited, non-exclusive license to process that material only to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and moderate the service and to provide the private work to authorized participants.

5. Conduct and safety

You must follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, do not harass, threaten, target people with hateful conduct, share sexual or exploitative content, make unauthorized recordings, expose private information, or deliberately disrupt a performance with excessive noise or audio abuse.

You may block another participant. A block can prevent the two anonymous participant identities from being placed together in later performances. Blocking does not replace reporting conduct that may require review.

6. Reports and content action

You may report conduct connected to a performance. Reports may include the reported participant, performance, category, and available cue or timing context. We review reports using the information reasonably available to us.

When appropriate, VoiceStage may restrict or ban an anonymous participant identity, prevent matching, revoke access to a work, quarantine or delete content, preserve relevant evidence, or take no action when a report cannot be substantiated. We may act without advance notice when needed to protect people, the service, or legal obligations.

7. Service availability and termination

VoiceStage may change, suspend, or discontinue service functions and may end interrupted or incomplete performances. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted audio, successful rendering, or permanent availability of a work.

You may stop using VoiceStage at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, safety risks, abuse, legal requirements, or threats to service integrity.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as VoiceStage changes. We will publish the revised terms here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required.
